Why we verify
Kinky Sydney is an adults-only community, and verification is how we keep it that way. Every member confirms with photo ID that they’re a real person aged 18 or over. That means no fake profiles, no catfishing, no bots and no minors. When you message someone here, you know there’s a genuine, verified adult on the other end. It’s what makes this a space where people can relax, be open and trust each other.
What the badges mean
A blue tick means the member has confirmed they’re the real thing with their own photo ID. A pink heart means a couple account where both partners have been verified, each with their own ID.
How it works
It takes a couple of minutes. Upload or photograph your ID and type your legal name. The text on your ID is read automatically by Microsoft Azure’s text recognition service, hosted here in Australia, so your details don’t leave the country. If your date of birth shows you’re 18 or over and your name matches, you’re approved instantly. If anything needs a closer look, one of our admins reviews it personally, usually within a day or two, and you’ll receive an email either way.
Couples
Once the account holder is verified, the partner can verify with their own ID from the same account. When both are verified, your profile shows the Verified Couple badge.
Your privacy
We know handing over ID for a site like this is a big ask, so we’ve designed the process to collect as little as possible and keep nothing we don’t need. Your ID image is deleted as soon as it’s been reviewed. We never store a copy of it. All we keep is your verified name, the date you were verified and the outcome. Your legal name, date of birth and ID are never shown to other members, and nobody browsing the site can see them. We don’t sell, share or trade anyone’s personal information, full stop. You’re also welcome to cover your address and licence number before uploading, as long as your name, photo and date of birth are clearly visible.
